#8: A Chrome Feature
Google Chrome has a neat little trick that can speed up your productivity. Instead of clicking through menus or opening Google Drive to start a new document, you can type “doc.new” into your browser bar and press enter. Instantly, a fresh Google Doc opens up. It’s quick, clean, and shockingly convenient. You can also use “sheet.new” for Sheets and “slide.new” for Slides.
This tiny shortcut saves time, especially if you’re juggling work or school assignments. It eliminates several clicks and gets you right where you want to be. If you rely on Google Workspace tools, this can become one of your favorite browser habits. Many people don’t know it exists, even though it’s been around for a while. Give it a try next time you need to jot something down fast or start a new project without the extra steps.
