#36: A Toggle Trick
Sometimes the simplest features make the biggest difference. On Android phones, there’s a hidden shortcut that lets you switch between your two most recently used apps. Just double-tap the app overview button (the square icon or gesture for recent apps), and your screen will instantly switch to the previous app you were using.
It’s incredibly handy when multitasking between apps like email and your browser, or between messaging and maps. You no longer have to go to your home screen or scroll through recent apps. This feature saves time and makes switching back and forth much smoother. If you didn’t know it existed, don’t worry—you’re not alone. Give it a try next time you’re jumping between tasks on your phone. It might just become your new favorite shortcut.
