#33: In Case of an Emergency
Modern smartphones are packed with safety tools that go beyond just making calls. One of the most useful features is an emergency SOS option built into most recent iPhone and Samsung models. Depending on your phone, you can trigger an emergency alert by pressing specific buttons. This will call emergency services and notify pre-selected contacts of your location.
For iPhone users, holding the side button and a volume button activates the emergency feature. Samsung users have a panic button setting that sends texts with your location to trusted contacts. Even more impressive, these functions may still work when the phone is low on power or has poor reception. It’s one of those features you hope you never need, but knowing it’s there can provide peace of mind. Check your phone’s emergency settings—it might one day help save your life.
