#29: A Simple Switch
Bright headlights in your rearview mirror can be blinding, especially at night. But there’s a simple fix built into nearly every car. Flip the small tab on the bottom of your rearview mirror to adjust the angle and reduce glare. It’s a feature designed for nighttime driving that many people either forget or never learned about.
This adjustment softens the brightness from cars behind you without blocking your view. It’s incredibly useful and surprisingly underused. Newer cars may have automatic dimming mirrors, but for those with manual ones, this quick flip can make a big difference. If you’ve been squinting through nighttime drives, this small trick might be exactly what you need.
