#23: The Family Monarch
Some families believe that loved ones who pass away find gentle ways to visit again. In this story, a monarch butterfly became the symbol of a grandmother’s eternal presence. Every time there was a major family event—births, weddings, or even tough times—a butterfly would appear, fluttering around the family as if keeping watch. It wasn’t just coincidence. The family started to believe it was her.
After the butterfly landed on a newborn baby’s crib, they were sure. The sightings brought warmth and reassurance to everyone who saw them. Though they missed her dearly, her visits made them feel she was still part of the family. Signs from loved ones can take many forms, and while some people dismiss them as chance, others find deep comfort in the idea that love continues—even through something as small and beautiful as a butterfly’s wings.
