#10: A Spine-Chilling Night
A funeral home worker stayed late one Halloween night to prepare a body for a viewing the next morning. As midnight passed, a snowstorm began to rage outside, trapping him in the building. He tried to keep calm, but the silence grew oppressive. The basement, where the bodies were stored, seemed especially cold and heavy that night.
Then came the sounds. A door creaked. Footsteps echoed from nowhere. Lights flickered. At one point, he thought he saw a shadow pass by, but no one else was inside. He stayed frozen in place until dawn broke and the storm cleared. Nothing was ever found to explain what he heard or saw. It was just another night on the job—or was it? He never worked another Halloween again and swears something in that building watches the living. Some say the dead rest in peace, but others might still be wandering.
