Just as it’s considered inappropriate to mock someone’s religion, making fun of or commenting on a person’s beliefs, especially when those beliefs promote equality and social justice, is not acceptable.
Having your boss disrupt a meeting because you expressed your beliefs is highly inappropriate. Employers should never comment on an employee’s religious or ideological beliefs, and employees should not be put in a position where they have to defend their beliefs in a professional setting. Encouraging a respectful and inclusive workplace means respecting each individual’s beliefs and treating them professionally and courteously.
